MREPC's seminar on ‘Managing Infection Control – Selecting the Right Gloves’ in Hyderabad and Ahmedabad drew a good crowd of more than 300 participants comprising nursing students and healthcare workers, as well as rubber medical device importers and distributors. The seminars were conducted during the recent specialised mission on rubber medical gloves to India from 8 – 14 October 2017 which was led by the CEO of MREPC, Ms Low Yoke Kiew. The educational seminars are part of MREPC’s continuous efforts to reach out to healthcare personnel in India to enhance awareness and promote the proper usage of rubber medical gloves to minimise infections.
The itinerary also included roundtable discussions with rubber medical device importers and distributors in Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. The interactive discussions provided useful feedback on trade in rubber medical devices between Malaysia and India as well as updates on India’s healthcare industry.
The delegates also visited the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI), and Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital in Hyderabad to establish networking and learn the latest developments in the healthcare sector in India.
